Week ending 2nd October

An amazing week in 4W

What a busy and exciting week we have had!

In preparation for Poetry Day on Thursday, we went on a journey through ALPS. We explored nature with our senses. The children collected lots of fantastic descriptive vocabulary and used their senses to help bring the setting to life. We then used these wonderful words and phrases to create our own sensory poems. We were so impressed by the children’s creativity and imagination!

On Friday, things got wonderfully messy in Science! 🧪 We made oobleck, a fascinating mixture that can behave like both a solid and a liquid. The children loved experimenting with it, squeezing it in their hands and then watching it flow through their fingers. There were lots of surprised faces, great questions and plenty of scientific discussion!

A fantastic week of creativity, curiosity and hands-on learning. Well done, everyone!
