Welcome to the Year 5 blog. What a great first full week we have had. The class novel, Journey to Jo'burg, has created a lot of discussion ready for our book review next week. The new class novel is The Secret of Nightingale Wood. We have predicted what is could be about, so we are exited to find out if any of the predictions were close.

In maths, we have been using Roman numerals and looking at numbers to 100,000.  Don't forget to log on to TTrockstars and practice your times tables.

In English, we have started to look at the features of a portal story called Elf Road, and have started to plan our own using lots of great descriptive language. 

A reminder that swimming is on a Thursday, and this is their PE lesson. Those who don't go swimming will have their PE lesson on a Tuesday.
