The children have come super sensible and ready to learn! We've had a great week!
In English we have started our new story of Hansel and Gretel. The children have learnt the model text and we've been looking at the gingerbread house. We have listed nouns and adjectives we could use to describe the house.
In Maths we have started subtraction and counting back. Please practise at home with your child, giving them a number and asking them to count back from it.
We have also been partitioning numbers into tens and ones.
In science we have started our new topic on Plants and the children have labelled the parts of a flower and a tree.
