Good morning and welcome to this week's blog from Year 5W. We hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday weekend. As always, it has been a busy but fun week.
Maths - This week the children have been investigating decimals. They have been looking at the relationship between fractions and their decimal equivalent. Click on the link below to have a go at home...
English - The children have completed the hot task in their writing this week. They have all planned and written a Greek myth with a brave, powerful hero that defeats a monstrous, blood-thirsty beast!
Science - The children were told to imagine they were in a locked room and had to escape by cracking the code. Using clues scattered around the classroom they worked out the answers, each challenge giving them a number to unlock the door. Here are some photos from the lesson...
Our certificate winner this week is Ava. She won for settling straight into the class. She has had a great first week and contributed well in all lessons, especially maths. Well done to Ava from all of 5W. ![]()
