Hello and welcome to year 4's blog, WOW what another busy week.
I would just like to thank all the parents that attended Parents Evening this week, it was lovely to meet you all.
This week in maths, we have started our place value unit. We have been understanding numbers to 1000 and beyond. We have been looking at which column the numbers belong to. Have a go at wordwall where there are so many games for you to play at home.

In writing, the children have written their own instruction text on how to catch their own mythical creature! We needed to ensure that we used all the features in our work such as imperative verbs and time conjunctions.
In history, the children have learnt all about the discovery of Tutankhmun's Tomb by Howard Carter. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zvmkhbk Have a look at the link and read all about it at home!
On Monday, Canal and River Trust came in to year 4 to teach them the importance of staying safe around water. They looked at dangers and how you could help someone who was in danger.
