Friday 12th September

Hello and welcome back to our second blog of the school year! This week has flown by and we have been super busy in year 4.

In maths, the children have continued their work on time. Converting between analogue and digital and working out time from the am to the pm. Have a go at the link below to read the analogue clock in digital time. https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/116/telling-the-time

In writing, the children have been looking at their new Talk for Writing unit which is a suspense, finding story. We have been doing work around show not tell and being able to proof read descriptive setting for errors and improving our own work.

In History, the children learnt all about the civilisation Ancient Sumer. They learnt lots of interesting facts about this group of people! Did you know that they had huge temples called Ziggurats and worshipped many Gods? https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zdq72v4 Click for more info!
