Good morning and welcome to our blog for this week. It has been a very busy week here in year 6W.
Maths - The children have been collecting data and then presenting their data as a pie chart. This has involved using a pair of compasses to draw their circle and then a protractor to measure the correct sized angle to draw each piece of their pie.
English - The children have begun our final class novel for the year. It is called Can You See Me? by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott. It is about a girl with autism who confronts the terrors of moving on to high school. Eleven-year-old Tally is fierce, brave, funny, and kind; but she also wants desperately to fit in, so she keeps her autism secret from her new classmates at Kingswood Academy.
Our certificate winner this week is Harvey-Joe for a noticeable improvement in effort across several areas of the curriculum this week. A big well done from everyone in Year 6W to Harvey-Joe. ![]()

Just a quick reminder that it is the YEAR 6 SPORT'S DAY on Monday 19th June at 9.15am. Please send your child into school in their Westfield PE kit with a water bottle, hat and sun cream as they will be outdoors. Many thanks. You are welcome to come along to spectate and cheer the children on. ![]()
