Good morning and welcome to the blog for this week. It has been a very quiet week on the Upper Phase of school, as it has been SATS week for Year 6. The Year 5 children have been really supportive and kept our classroom a quiet, calm environment.
Maths - This week, the children have continued their work on decimal numbers and how they link to fractions.
English - The children have investigated instructional texts. They have looked at the features of instructions, and written them all down in a tool kit to help them with their own writing. As a class, they came up with a set of instructions on how to trap a minotaur. They will use that as a guide to write independently next week.
Our certificate winner this week is Kolby for fantastic technique when hurdling in PE this week. He displayed amazing technique, taking each hurdle in his stride and wowed his classmates when demonstrating. Well done Kolby from your 5W classmates!
That's all from us this week. Can you believe that next week is the final week of this half term? We can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by! We hope you have a great weekend and look forward to seeing you again on Monday.
