Hello and welcome to year 4's last blog of the half term. What a busy one we have had.
In writing this week, the children have written their own set of Instructions on how to Mummify a Pharaoh. They had to include the features and make sure their work made sense and they had correct spellings.
We have been busy with our Harvest Assembly. I would like to say thank you to all the year 4 children for their efforts and for all the people who came to watch it. We HOPE you enjoyed it.
In History, the children have been looking at Ancient Egyptian writing called Hieroglyphics. The symbols they used were called hieroglyphs, which comes from a Greek word meaning 'sacred carving'. The ancient Egyptians believed that hieroglyphs had been invented by the gods. Learn more about it here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zvw3mfr
