Friday 23rd January

Hello to our year 4 parents and welcome back to our blog of the week.

We have had an unbelievably busy week, we are exhausted now! In writing, we have been writing our hot task for our own traditional tale. These were absolutely brilliant and children were able to independently use speech marks in their writing.

In maths, we have moved onto multiplication and division. Looking at fact families between the two and focusing on our 3 and 6 times tables. https://www.multiplication.com/games/division-games Have a go at some division games here.

In reading, we have started our new class novel The Polar Bear Explorers' Club. We are absolutely loving it. It follows the story of a young girl called Stella, who wants more than anything to be an explorer. We are hooked already and it's only been a few days.

We have had such a busy week in the afternoons with our art too and we cannot wait to show you our finished products next week. We have based these on the works of artist Roberts Jennings. We have used a range of styles to create shades and tints.

Hope you have a great weekend and see you all on Monday.
