Friday 28th June

Hello and welcome back to another year 4 blog. Hope you have had a lovely week, we have enjoyed the sunshine (some may say it's been too hot)! We have still been very busy in class and out of class this week though!

In maths, we have been looking at shape. We have identified regular and irregular polygons and completed lines of symmetry. Have a go at the game below where you can match pictures, shapes or patterns. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/symmetry/symmetry-matching

In writing, we have been learning our new Talk for Writing topic 'Do footballers earn too much?' Both Miss Catherall and Mrs Turner do think so! However, the children have been learning this as part of our 'Debate' unit. They were looking at reasons for and against and what makes a balanced arguement.

In science, we went over to the ALPs to identify what and how many minibeast we could identify over there. We then completed a chart to show this data.

In Geography, we looked at Delamere Forest as we are so looking forward to our trip there next week! We looked at what it has to offer and completed a fact file all about it.

There will be no spelling test next week, so just lots of practise of times tables to achieve those bands!

Have a lovely weekend and I shall see you on Monday.
