Hello year 4 parents and welcome back to our blog!
In maths this week we have been looking at converting tenths and hundredths into decimals. The children have really worked hard on this this week as it is a really challenging subject. https://www.iknowit.com/lessons/c-decimals-tenths-and-hundredths.html This is a great game to practise your knowledge.
In reading, we have been doing lots of work around our class novel the Wild Robot. This is a beautiful story about a robot named Roz who finds herself alone on an island.
In Geography, the children have looked at the Amazon Rainforest in detail. They created some excellent fact files on them and used atlas' to work out more information about it.
In science, the children created their own form of communication by using paper cups and string to speak to one another. Have a look at the pictures below.
In writing, the children have wrote their own piece of writing about the Pocket Money Machine explaining how it works. Have a listen to of the work below.
Have a great LONG weekend and I will see you all on Tuesday.
