Friday 4th October
In English this week we have been completing an independent piece of writing. We have been writing a character description of our very own pirate. It was very impressive to see some fantastic adjectives and similes being used!
In maths we are continuing our work on place value. This week we have been learning to partitioning numbers in different ways, find 1/10/100 more or less than given amounts within 1000 and use number lines to 1000.
As part of our Geography work, we went over to the ALPs to complete some fieldwork. Using an ariel view map of the ALPs, we designed our own settlements. We had to use a key and symbols to represent objects. In small groups, we worked with Carl to build own shelters that would be suitable for settlers to live in.
