What a busy week we've had in Year 2!
This week the children have been writing Kenning Poems. Kenning Poems are like riddles they describe something without telling you what it is.
Who am I...?
Story - reader
Problem - solver
Board - writer
Homework - setter
Playground - whistler
Register - taker
The children chose an animal and collected ideas of what they knew about that animal. They then turned their ideas into a Kenning Poem describing that animal.
In Science we looked at the different plants we can eat and sorted them into different categories, for example, fruits, root vegetables and flower vegetables.
In maths we have continued with counting backwards and have started to look at shape and symmetry.
We hope you have a great weekend!
