Hello and welcome to year 4's blog.
This week, we have done lots and lot of work and been very busy.
In writing, the children have been looking at non chronological reports, we have completed work on bullet points and how to write in a formal tone. The children then researched a polar animal ready to write about it next week and then completed some sentences to include fronted adverbials.
In maths, the children have been using arrays to multiply and divide. We looked at multiplying and dividing a whole number by 10. To do this, we move one decimal place to the left and then put a 0 as a place holder. https://wordwall.net/resource/110766/maths/multiplying-and-dividing-by-10-and-100
We had a visitor in this week from healthy kids, this was all about the importance of good oral health care. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcNAhUqH9U0
In geography, the class attempted to filter dirty water. This was to show how pollution effects our rivers and that we have to filter water over and over again to make it suitable for human consumption.
We are continuing our coloured spellings next week.
Hope you have a great weekend, see you on Monday.
