Friday 7th June
Good morning and welcome to our first blog for this half term. It has been a busy week here in Y5W.
Maths - This week the children continued investigating multiplying a number by 10, 100 and 1,000, including decimal numbers.
English - The children have been looking at their new model text. They have highlighted all the key features they found in the text. Also, they have been creating sentences
Design Technology - Before half term, the children created an Ancient Greek themed design to paint onto a bag. This week, the children have sewn their own bags to paint their design onto. Despite sometimes finding the task a bit tricky, the children persevered and worked extremely hard to complete their final product.

Our certificate winner this week is Darcie for showing a natural sewing ability in our DT lessons, then using her skill to assist her classmates. Well done and a big thank you to Darcie from all of Year 5W
