Friday 7th November

Hello and welcome back to year 4's blog of the autumn term 2.  Hope you had a great half term!

This week in writing the children have been looking at their new model text a description of Caitlin from our class novel Perijee and Me. We then spent a couple of days working on pronouns and similes. https://wordwall.net/resource/32355705/language/pronoun-whack-a-mole

In maths, the children have continued working on their times tables. They have looked at their 6's and 9's this week. We learnt a new cool trick using our fingers to help us quickly work out our 9 times tables. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEIeFV4oMp4

In History, the children have been learning about Tutankhamun and the discovery of his Tomb in 1922! We loved learning about him and all the interesting facts about this important event.

In PSHE, we have started our new unit about mental health and the importance of looking after it. Maybe this weekend spend some time thinking and doing things that are good for your mental health and I'll look forward to hearing all about it on Monday.

Have a super weekend!
