Reception F

What a wonderful first week in Reception we have had!

We have adapted really well to our new environment; with new routines, resources and new grown ups! The children look so smart in their new 'big school' uniform.  It's wonderful to see them feeling so proud and showing off their new shoes and jumpers.

In our class, Mrs Rothwell is our teacher and Mrs Baggaley is our teaching assistant, she is always in class with us.  On Thursday mornings Mrs Rothwell isn't in class as she is doing busy computer work. Miss Denner will be our teacher then.

At lunchtime, Gillian and Louise help us.  They give us our school dinner and play with us in the 'big outside'.

We also have Mrs Williamson and Mrs Fields who will be working in our classroom throughout the week.

We are very lucky to have all of these grown ups to help but it is a lot of names to learn!

We have been busy exploring the new environment on our visits this week.  We have re-connected with friends from pre-school and made new friends! Here we are in action!

Next week we will begin our 'Text of the Week' journey.

Our first book is aptly called 'Starting School'
