Hello and welcome back to our Summer 2 blog. What a wonderful few weeks we have had in nursery. This half term we are have been learning and exploring Holidays. We have been looking at holidays and countries around the world and learning about different celebrations
We played games in provision and looked at different flags from around the world. We talked about differences and similarities and how some had the same colour, shapes and patterns. We also looked at the flags for the different nationalities we celebrate in class
We also looked at the countries on a world map. We completed jigsaws, looked at a globe and discussed the names of the different countries. Here we are celebrating successfully completing the world map jigsaw
We also got the opportunity to explore and try on some traditional Sri Lankan clothing. We talked about the different pieces and when they might be worn. Here we are exploring, learning about and celebrating a different culture
We also created a mind map about all the things we already knew about The World around us. Have a look at all of our knowledge. What an amazing, knowledgeable class we are! See if you can find out anything else to add to our mind map at home
We also took one last look at our butterflies. We have really enjoyed our learning about growth. We have looked after the plants in class, fed and watered them and checked on them everyday. Here we are releasing the butterflies and saying our goodbyes
We also continue to learn the importance of working together. Here we are working together in class to achieve a common goal. What a great model. Keep up the good work everyone. You make us so proud
Here are the links to some of the lovely texts we have explored this half term. We hope that you enjoy listening to them as much as we did in class.....
