This week and last week we have welcomed a few new children who have all settled in beautifully. Welcome to the butterfly room 🦋
Just a reminder out gate opens in a morning at 8.20, 8.45 and 9am.
Unfortunately we are experiencing lots of problems with our bell in the cold wet weather, if you are ever waiting please ring the bell on the front door or ring the room directly on 01942 776007 extension number 1022 to gain our attention.
This week we have been enjoying reading the story ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’ 🐻 The children have really enjoyed this story and we will be focusing some of our activities around the story as well as visiting the ALPS (woodland next to school) to go on our very own bear hunt 🐻
The children enjoyed exploring the Bear Hunt themed sensory tray and enjoyed reciting parts of the story ‘quick a bear’ 🐻
We have had lots of fun in the hall this week dancing to Baby Shark, Freeze Dance, Head Shoulders, Knees and Toes, sleeping bunnies and many more
We’ve had lots of fun painting exploring different colours, marks and tools
The children enjoyed exploring the sensory tray and learning how to use the pipettes
We sorted the coloured balls into the corresponding cups and learned the names of the colours
The children drew their faces, they looked in the mirror to find their eyes, nose and mouth etc and then drew it on the white board
The children loved exploring the ice 🧊 outside and got very messy playing in the mud kitchen but it was lots of fun.
We also enjoyed playing hide and seek and chasing each other
