WB 13th October

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We have had a very busy and fun week learning all about Autumn. Thank you to everyone who went out and collected some Autumn treasures for us to look at this week. We all enjoyed hearing about the adventures the children had and looking at everything they had found.

We have completed lots of activities using the Autumn treasures. On Thursday we read a book called 'Leaf Man'. This was a story about a man made of leaves who was blown away. Throughout the book we see lots of different things the leaves had made along the way. We used our outdoor materials to make our own leaf man.

At the end of the week we used the items we had left over to make a BIG piece of art work to go on display. All of the children chose something to add to it. We cant wait to see what it looks like when it dries.

Have a look at just some of the lovely invitations to play we have had in our classroom this week.

One activity this week was to make Autumn sun catchers to put on our windows. We used tissue paper and stuck them down, we then stuck the leaf to the window! We think they look great!

This week we were lucky enough to enjoy a yoga session with Dr. Helen. The children were brilliant and listened to all of the instructions. We did some stretching and breathing exercises. We also did some singing with some yoga poses included. A big thank you to Dr Helen for letting us join in this great activity.

In Wednesdays PE session, we enjoyed some music and dancing. We used the scarves and moved them in time to the music.

We have had a great week! Enjoy some photos of us learning in our continuous provision.

Have a great weekend!
