WB 1st December

Welcome back to the Reg 2 class blog.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has sent in family photographs for us to look through this week. We will be displaying them in frames, which we are currently collecting, in our home corner.

As mentioned, we have been thinking about families and the things we enjoy doing with them. The children have completed many activities to support their creativity, fine motor skills, and discussions about their families. They used cartoon characters to build representations of their families at home and talked about how they are different from other families we have looked at.

Like many of you, we are celebrating this time of year with a festive tree. The children helped to decorate it and really enjoyed themselves. Over the next two weeks, we will be filling our days with festive activities and learning opportunities.

For PE this week, we have been practising balancing while walking on benches and jumping from small platforms. The children were very brave and were surrounded by safety mats to jump onto.

For our mindfulness session this week, the children learnt the Red Song. This song focuses on anger and the appropriate ways to express it. We moved and lay down in time with the song in our small hall, giving the children more space to use.

For more from our fun-filled week, explore the images below.

Thank you for taking the time to read through our class blog.

We are still accepting family photos for our home corner, so please feel free to send them in via your child’s bag or by email: enquiries@admin.westfield.wigan.sch.uk

On Friday 19th December, Reg 2 will be hosting our Christmas party. All Reg 2 children are invited. We will be opening our gates at 9:15, and collection for your child will be at 11:15 on that Friday.

Thank you again — The Reg 2 Team.
