Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We hope you had a restful half term break!
This week we have been celebrating Lunar New Year! We read lots of different texts with stories that taught us about the traditions surrounding the Lunar New Year.
We have completed lots of lovely crafts this week. We made dragons with handprints and paint to explore colour mixing.
We folded, cut and joined paper and card to make dancing dragons. This was a real hit this week in our classroom.
We looked at pictures of cherry blossom. We decorated them on our big table. It looked great at the end of the day!
We used chopsticks to work on our fine motor skills by picking things up with them. It was very tricky!!
In Maths our number of the week was 3! The children are really working hard to learn everything about our number each week. This week in our magic carpet maths session, the answers the children gave us blew us away! Well done everyone.
We were lucky enough to do some food tasting. Nat brought us in some noodles and prawn crackers to try. We all had a try which the grown ups were so impressed with and some of us even had seconds!
In PE, we have been practising some yoga. Have a look at us having a go. Well done everyone!
As always, we spend as much time as we can outside. The weather has been kind to us this week which has meant lots of sunny playtimes!
Well done to everyone on a very busy first week back! Letters will be going out this week regarding parents meetings.
See you next week
