WB 6th October

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. We have had another great week in Pre School. The children have really settled into their new routine and we are so proud of them. We have all made lots of lovely new friends and the grown ups are really enjoying getting to know all of the children.

We spent the first half of our week learning and singing the nursery rhyme '1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive'. We love this rhyme and enjoy showing the numbers on our fingers.

On the creative table, we looked at some pictures of real fish. We drew our own interpretations of these. We think they look great!

We played a game called catch and count. The children had to spin the spinner to see what number it landed on, then find the right amount of fish or bubbles. The grown ups were so impressed with some of the childrens super maths skills this week!

In our first PE session of the week we firstly did a warm up to get our hearts racing. This week we played the bean game. It was so much fun! We also had a go at following a partner while they were running, walking or jumping. This meant we needed to keep a super close eye of them to be a copy cat. We finished with a lovely stretch at the end.

In PE on Wednesday, we enjoyed some moving to music. We moved the scarves to the music making sure we stretched our bodies as we moved. What a great session!

We have spent lots of time outside this week. We have been building, riding the bikes and having fun in the outdoor kitchen.

Wow what a busy week it has been! Dont forget to fill your Autumn treasure bags this weekend as we will be using the natural items in our learning next week.

Have a great weekend
