Week Beginning 11th March

KEY DATES

  • Red nose day is Friday 21st March, if you would like to dress your child in red clothes throughout the week you are more than welcome too. We are asking for a donation of a tinned food if possible to support this causeheart
  • Nursery will break up for Easter half term after the session on Friday 4th April, and will return on Tuesday 22nd Aprilsmiley

Communication and Language skills are so important to a child and young person's development. Here is a link below to provide lots of useful activities that can be done at home with your little ones. 

  • Use single words thorough the day
  • Sounds in play "beep beep" "choo choo" this also helps with imaginative play
  • Counting words - this could be counting socks, tins of food etc
  • Matching socks game - this helps children to look and identify patterns/colours
  • Outdoor play - walk with your child around the environment or trip to the local park, ask children to identify things along the way e.g- bikes, cars, planes, birds, cats, dogs etc

 

Tiny Happy People - Activities for 2-3 year olds

It is near to Easter half term and we would like to encourage children to start getting rid of their dummies or limiting use to bed times. The dummy tree is lit up within the foyer for children and parents to look at. If you would like support with this transition or any advice/tips please speak to any of the Sunflower Room teamheart
