Week ending 10th January
Hello and welcome back to our blog.
Firstly,
HAPPY NEW YEAR
We were so glad to see all of our children back this week to start our Spring term. A huge well done to everyone for getting the children safely to and from school in very tricky weather conditions!
Our first text of the week for this term has been 'The Gingerbread Man'. We have loved this story as some of us were already familiar with it but we wanted to know more!
To start the week we completed a story map. The children re-told the story and wrote about it. Have a look at some of our fantastic work!
In Maths this week we have been using spatial language to describe how we know what number we are being shown. Have a look at us playing a game to practise this.
As always, our class loves being creative. Have a look at some of the activities we could find in our creative area this week...
To get our phonics brains switched on after our Christmas holidays, we had a go at making some words on the magnetic boards.
The playdough table was busy this week. The children loved making their own gingerbread creations!
A huge well done to all of the children for a great first week back.
