What an amazing 'Sport's Day' we have had. We loved the races and all tried our best and just had loads of fun. We did a running race, a hurdles race and the hardest of all was the egg and spoon race. It was a lovely morning.
We've really enjoyed working with the text, 'Tabby McTat' by Julia Donaldson this week. In literacy, we have looked at rhyming words within the story, we have read and sequenced sentences from the story, we have looked at the main events within the book and we have chosen a character from the story to describe.
In maths we have been doing lots of number activities, we have been looking at 1 more and 1 less, we have been counting pictures up to 20, we have worked out missing numbers in numberlines.
We've had lots of cat craft activities. We've produced amazing pictures and used lots of different resources.
Fred in the Tabby McTat story was a busker who played the guitar, we have coloured and cut out our own guitars. They were fabulous!!!
We've also had lots of fun activities in our classroom. We've been really busy in all the areas of our classroom.
We can't believe that next week is our last week in reception class. We will spend the week looking at a variety of Julia Donaldson stories.
Have a lovely weekend.
