Welcome to this week's blog. We have had a special week as we invited our adults to come and share our 'Festive Sing-a-long' with us. We have worked really hard learning the songs and really enjoyed singing them.
As part of our 'Sing-a-long' we had a slide show of us looking 'Christmassy', here are our pictures.
In Literacy we have been using the text 'This Zoo is Not for You' by Ross Collins. We have used the internet to find out about the different animals in the story. We thought of questions, then found the answers and drew and wrote the answers on paper. We have written party invitations and descriptions about different zoo animals.
In maths we have been using number rhymes to help us learn about 1 less. We have sung 5 little speckled frogs, 5 little men in a flying saucer and 5 currant buns in a bakers shop and used pictures from them to help us count back. We have also been looking at shapes and have used a variety of objects to make shapes, we talked about how many sides and corners the shapes have and named them.
In our creative work we have looked and created our own images of a highland cow by Steven Brown. The pictures we created were amazing.
We've had lots of activities in our classroom based on zoo animals and developing our skills.
Next week we will be doing lots of Christmas activities.
Have a lovely weekend.
