Week ending 13th October
Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week our text has been 'A New Home for a Pirate'. We have enjoyed lots of lovely writing activities relating to the text. Whilst outside, we used our climbing frame as a pirate ship and were pretending to be pirates. We talked about all of the things we could see through our telescopes!
This week we welcomed our grown ups in for our first stay and play of the year. Our focus was reading and Read Write Inc phonics. Our adults came into our classroom to see some of the fantastic ways we are learning to read.
In Maths this week we used musical instruments to play sounds. We counted them in our head and had to point to the number that was represented. What a fun game!
In PE this week, Mr Ellis showed us a throwing game. We had to catch the bib using different parts of our bodies. It was great fun!
