Hello and welcome back to this weeks class blog! What a wonderful week it has been! Let's take a look at this weeks invitations to come and play using the story of Zog!
We started the week off by looking at the differences and similarities between Zog's school and our own school. We talked about the things Zog did and the things we do. We discovered that both schools encourage us to practice things we have been shown
In the story of Zog he had a little accident when fire breathing. Just like we do when we have a bump at school we get given a bump note. One of our favourite activities this week has been to create our very own bump notes. Take a look at our fabulous writing
We have also created our own dragons to join Zog at Dragon School. Take a look at our descriptions of our new characters. They will fit into the story perfectly
We also used the theme of Zog to help us with our number bonds to 10. We used two different colours of dragons and then worked out the stem sentences so for example 7 + 3 = 10. Here we are in action
We also have been using Zog to help develop our Funky Fingers. We used a really long bandage to wrap around Zog's wing to help him get better. We loved this activity and it was great for our co-ordination
We even found time to be creative. We used different materials and pastels to create Zog pictures. Take a look at our wonderful art work and more importantly, look how proud we are
Next week our text of the week is the story Charlie Cooks Favourite Book. A story about a little boy who reads a book and then finds out that the characters in his story also have a favourite book. If you would like to listen to the story before Monday please click on the link below -
Have a wonderful weekend
