Week ending 27th September
Hello and welcome back to our blog!
This week our text of the week was 'On the way home'. The children and the adult in our class enjoyed this story and it provided us with lots of lovely conversations based around the story.
We talked about the things we see on our way home. We drew and labelled them on our road.
We used pictures from the text to order and retell the story.
Every day we use our laptops to watch our Read Write Inc. Phonics videos. We love to watch Ellie and Fred and this helps us with extra practise to learn our sounds.
During our daily Phonics lessons, we learn our sound of the day, say our sound and write our sound. We practise our sound with the whole class and we love to practise by ourselves when we go off to explore the classroom.
We used different materials to build in our creative area.
Some of us have been learning to blend the sounds we know to make words.
As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our PE lesson. We are working on our gymnastics block and our session was called 'Rocking and Rolling'! We learnt different types of rolls and how to safely rock on different parts of our bodies.
Our text of the week is 'In Every House on Every Street'.
