Week ending 2nd May
Hello and welcome back to our class blog. What a lovely week we have had in Reception this week!
Our text of the week has been Stickman. We read the text and completed lots of activities based on the story.
One of our activities was a story map. The adults in our class were blown away with the work the children completed and the progress they have been making.
We used our knowledge of Stickman to complete some missing posters. We had to describe Stickman and draw him. Have a look at some examples.
We really enjoyed our Music session with Mrs Shirley. The children are growing with confidence and showing their musical talents each week.
What a treat we had on Thursday. Farmer Natalie from Little Barn Farm brought some animals for us to meet! We all held the rabbits, stroked the duck, fed the calf and had lots of time getting to know the lambs!
Next week we will be using the text 'Snail and the whale'. Have a listen to it on youtube over the weekend or watch the short film on BBC iplayer!
