Week ending 31st January
Hello and welcome back to our class blog.
This week we have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We started the week by reading the story of the Great Race. We thought about all of the different animals that we heard in the story and we created a story map.
We learnt that this year is the year of the Snake! We practised our cutting skills to design and make some snakes.
Have a look at some of the exciting activities we have completed in continuous provision this week. We have tried chinese writing, designing lanterns and painting animals.
In PE we have been practising our ball skills. This week we learnt how to kick a ball effectively. The children did a great job!
To end our week, we had a go at Chinese dragon dancing. We all had a turn to be a part of the dragon and work together to move the dragon
