Hello and a very warm welcome to our very first class blog. The children have made me so very proud this week, they have come with smiles on their faces and a willingness to learn. I am looking forward to our time together in Reception. For now, let's take a look at the things we have done to help us settle into our new classrooms
We started the week off by celebrating our very first day in Reception. Look at the smiles and look how very smart everyone looks. We hope you enjoy this little slideshow
We have already been super busy putting our stamp on our classroom. We have painted pictures about ourselves and put them on display. We are so proud, and rightly so, of our efforts and focus. Well done everyone
We have been busy learning the new routines and expectations in Reception as well as having lots of fun. Here is a round up of this weeks learning
We thoroughly enjoyed this weeks PE lesson. Here we are in action. School PE kits on Friday next week please
We have also started Read Write Inc this week. We have been exploring the picture side of the card and talking to the children about them. More information on this to follow next week when we start to learn the corresponding sounds and we will be sending home letters to practice writing
If all that wasn't enough we have started to populate our sticky learning book. Each week we take photographs, children's work and their ideas and contributions and add them to a page in our sticky learning book to help our memory and recall. Here is this weeks entry
Next week we will be using the text Starting School to help us with our learning. If you would like to listen to the story before Monday please click on the link below
We hope that you have a fantastic weekend and we cannot wait to see you on Monday!
