10th November

Over the last two weeks we have been learning about Bonfire Night and Remembrance Day.

We have made pictures of fireworks using oil pastels which you can see displayed in the classroom.

We talked about colours and our experiences of fireworks.

We also discussed firework safety.  Aurora said 'Fireworks are beautiful but they are very hot so you can't touch them'

We also created a huge firework masterpiece using splatters and paint.  Jessica had such a good time! we splatted and blew paint around the paper mixing the colours together

When we were learning about Remembrance day we played Kim's game using pictures about soldiers and we also made poppies to use on Friday for our one minute silence to remember the soldiers and people who help us.
We have also been practising our scissors skills A LOT over the last two weeks both with an adult and in continuous provision.  Here are some pictures of us concentrating hard on learning this new skill

Please pop in and have a look at our two new displays of our firework pictures and poppies.  Thank you for taking the time to look at our blog.

See you next week
