Happy New Year.
We are really pleased in Y2W to welcome Mrs Woodcock back.
We have had a great start to the year, in the first few days, we planned our own pizza toppings and then made them! Look at the fun we had ~
English
We are looking at traditional tales this half term.
This week we read 'Hansel and Gretel' and have started to think about how we can change it to write our own versions.
Maths
We have started to learn about division, we started off using apparatus to help us understand that division is about sharing.
Science
We are learning about materials this term and this week we have been thinking about what materials things in the classroom are made out of.
Fire, fire, fire!
Is this terms topic, we are not quite sure what it is about, but we had the task of finding out what happened in London in 1666, as this is an important year for our topic!!!! We are looking forward to finding out about this over the next few weeks.
Just a few reminders ~
Reading books need to be brought in every day.
Children need a PE kit, please check that your child has one in school.
Children wearing ear rings need to either take them out on a Thursday or bring in plasters to cover them up please.
Have a great weekend and see you next week.
