15 th September

Hello again, another great week in Year 3.

Maths-

The children have been partitioning 2 and 3 digit numbers, working out the value of each digit and ordering smallest to largest and largest to smallest.

English-

This week we have been working on a novel called The Pirate Code. We have read it and thoroughly enjoyed the story, answered comprehension questions and wrote a detailed character description of Captain Greenbeard.

Topic-

We learned about the seven wonders of the world. The children then produced some great posters focusing on a wonder of the world...The colosseum, The Taj Mahal or The Great Barrier Reef.

PE-

The children had a great time learning rugby skills. They learned how to run with a rugby ball and how to score a try. Everyone tried really hard and we have some budding rugby players, both boys and girls.

Have a lovely weekend from all the staff in Year 3.

CONGRATULATIONS to the children in Y3W as they achieved the highest attendance in school 99%..... fantastic....thank you to all you parents as it was with your support that this achievement was possible. We look forward to many more weeks of high attendance.

Please find information on the Strike Action under Parents > School Letters > Whole school letters > 2023. Thank you
