Hi year 1!
This week we have been working on the story, 'Bob and the pink wig', can you believe he had pink dogs too!? The children have been trying to retell the story this week.
In maths we have continued to work on place value and we have been comparing numbers and amounts using the < (less than), > (greater than) and = (equal to) symbols.
In science we have been investigating materials and their properties. We have been finding out if objects are waterproof/not waterproof, transparent/opaque and absorbent/not absorbent.
In topic we have been practising using our artistic skills (shading, blending and drawing lines of different thicknesses) to draw parts of our face for our self portraits.
In the ALPS we went on a minibeast hunt to observe them in their habitats!
