Another great week in Year 3
On Wednesday we had two Roman soldiers come to visit us. We learned about the types of wonderful villas Romans live in, with central heating and beautifully decorated rooms.
We also experienced holding a Roman shield and practised a defence formation in the hall. Half of us had shields and the other half threw foam spears and we had to ensure the spears didn’t penetrate our defence.
We had a fabulous day, we learned lots of interesting facts and the Roman soldiers were very impressed with our behaviour and what they already knew.
A fantastic half term ended with 3F winning the attendance trophy! What a delight that was!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
