Hello again,
English- This week we have been focussing on non-fiction texts. Having read these texts, the children then underlined the important facts and created their own sentences about these facts.
Maths- Continuing our work on fractions, working out fractions of amounts. The children have also been finding fractions of amounts and then comparing the answers and using the symbols to indicate greater than, less than and same value as.
Topic- We looked at various dangerous volcanoes around the world. All the children found this really interesting and produced a good detailed factual piece of writing.
Science- On Wednesday the children carried out an investigation about the various surfaces on a ramp and the impact on the distance a toy car travels on the different surfaces.
