17th February

This week in pre-school we have been learning about People Who Help Us.

We enjoyed the doctor's surgery in the role play area- playing patients, doctors and receptionists.

The children explored the resources and used their prior experiences at the dcotor's surgery to lead their play

In the continuous provision, we thought about the vehicles that People Who Help Us use to do their jobs.

We were very fortunate to go ti the ALPS (Adventure Learning Progress Space) which is the wooded area to the side of our school.

We made different 2d shapes with sticks- we thought abput how many sides the shapes have and realised that we could use the sticks to represent the sides!

We also took advantage of the beautiful natural resources the woods has to offer, and of course-the swing!

We hope you have a restful half term and come back to school ready to learn all about Growing!

On Friday 3rd March we will be celebrating World Book Day.  Your child can come to school dressed as a book character and bring their favourite story to share with the class.  The adults in our classroom will be dressing up as the Colour Monster, your child could dress in red, pink, black, yellow or blue to join the Colour Monster's team!

Pre-school will also be closed on Tuesday 28th February due to the teacher strikes.
