1st April

This week in pre-school we read the story 'The Enormous Turnip'

At the beginning of the week we looked back at our 'growing' mind map and tried to identify the vegetable (turnip).  Some children thought it was a pumpkin, others an onion and some children a purple carrot!

We used the internet to find out about this new vegetable.  Once we identified it, some children said they had tasted this vegetable before but the majority had not!

We peeled and chopped carrots and the turnip and tasted it during one of our carpet time sessions.  The children thought it was sweet when put with the carrots.

We had fun on the climbing frame working on our gross motor skills!

Bedding the plants on the ALPS

We also welcomed another little girl into the Number 4 club!

Happy Birthday
