Hi everyone!
Another busy week done, can you believe that we have finished 7 weeks in year 1 already!
In English this week we have been reading the story Puff the Pup and we had a go and retelling the story. Next week we will be looking at Snail and the Whale, so if you're planning on visiting the library over half term, keep your eyes peeled for that one.
In maths we have been learning to add using part whole models and number lines and we have practised counting on from any number. If you're looking to help us with numbers over the half term why not practise counting from any number forwards and backwards and check we can recognise and write numbers up to 20.
In science we did an investigation to see which material would make the best umbrella for teddy.
In topic we have been using our sketching skills to draw our self portraits.
In computing we have been using the Beebots, dressed up as spiders, and giving instructions (algorithms) to make it move up and down the spout like Incy Wincy Spider!
In the ALPS this week we collected obects to make the part whole models, we were going to bring them home but the rain caught us out and they were ruined!
