24th September

Well what a week!

Well done to our pupil of the week! They have really earned their award this week.

This week we finished looking at number and place value and then shown our teachers what we already knew about addition and subtraction! After that, we added 100’s to 3 digit numbers, then started to look at adding ones to a 3 digit number. See if you can answer these calculations:

  1. 247+300=
  2. 528+400=
  3. 723+ 6=
  4. 216+5=
  5. 823+9=

We spent this week’s English lessons looking at instructions. Firstly, we had to order instructions on how to walk the plank. Then we had to plan our own instructions for finding buried treasure. Following that, we wrote our instructions and followed them!

We designed our World Wonder photo frame and chose our favourite! Don’t forget if you haven’t already brought in a cardboard box. These have to be in by Thursday 28th September (AM) at the latest!

We started looking at what our body needs! We learnt the 3 functions of the skeleton (shape, movement and protection). We then looked at the different bones that make up the human body.

Did you know there are 206 bones in a adults body but 270 in a babies?

That’s all for this week! Make sure you call back next week to see what we have been up to! Have a safe weekend and we will see you all on Monday!
