30th September 2022

Hello and welcome back to this weeks class blog. This week we have been using the text on The Way Home to help us with our learning. We have had lots of amazing experiences this week. Let's take a little look.....

We started the week off with a lovely invitation to play and learn about numbers. We explored how to write numbers, how to count and how to find out what number comes next. Here we are exploring and recording on a large scale.

To further develop our Read Write Inc skills we have been exploring how to write the letters we have been learning. Have a look at some of the amazing letters we have produced. This is a great activity to continue practice at home. We really do appreciate your support practising at home. It does make a BIG difference.

We have been exploring our Reading Area. We have been asking the children about the types of books that they would like in the area. We love reading! This is a really popular area in our classroom. We learn all about characters, story telling language, how to work alongside others and it of course, promotes a love of books.

We have also been busy in the creative area. We have been developing our hand eye co-ordination by tearing and making patterns with tissue paper. The children were so very proud of their work and we have them on display in class.

We have also been talking about who lives in our house. A perfect activity that links so nicely to our text of the week.  The children really enjoyed sharing who lives in their house. Look at the fabulous work we have produced. Once again we have celebrated this by displaying in our classroom smiley

Next week we will be using the text On Every House on Every Street. Have a little look at it on You Tube - it's such a warm and friendly story about how every home and family is different

Have a great weekend
