4th October

Hello and welcome back to our class blog!

This week has been a very busy week full of exciting learning. In English we have been thinking about our own version of 'George's Marvellous Medicine' We thought about which other animals George could give his magical medicine to and what might happen to them. We came up with all sorts of weird and wonderful ideas such as a newt that shrinks and turns into sand, a bull that grows a neck as long as a giraffe and even a snake that starts to fly!

In Maths we have continued looking at place value and the different ways we can partition a number.

In Science we have been learning about keeping ourselves healthy and how we can make sure we eat a healthy diet. We made our own menu of healthy meals and snacks for a day.

In PSHE we have continued our work on how to keep ourselves safe. This week we looked at road safety when we are our with our family and friends. We talked about how to safely cross the road, how to find the safest place to cross and even drew our own zebra crossing and practised on the playground, (complete with children as cars and our own lollipop lady).

In topic we have been learning about local artist Theodore Major. We have been looking at his artwork and practising our sketching skills using charcoal to try to recreate our own artwork in they style of him.

Well, that's all for this week, we hope you come back next week to find out what we've been up to again.

Love from

Mrs Hannon, Mrs Haselden
