This week we have been learning about Bonfire Night!
We have been sharing the things we already know about Bonfire Night and exploring different media and materials in the classroom to represent our ideas.
The children were only 2 or 3 last time they would have experienced Bonfire Night and we were in the midst of a lockdown. We explained to the children what happens on Bonfire Night and what they may hear, see and smell.
In the continuous provision the children chose to explore shape using the coloured sticks. Mrs Rothwell was so pleased with the shapes they made!
We talked about Bonfire night safety and made chocolate apples as our class treat for filling the pom pom jar!
