Welcome Back and a Happy New Year to you all!
This week we have started our new topic Town and Country.
In English we have been sharing the story of 'The Enormous Turnip.' We have sequenced the order that the characters helped to pull the turnip out and retold the story.
In Maths we have been calculating the number that is one more and one less than a given number to 20. We used tens frames, counters and numberlines to help us.
In Geography we have been looking at the town and the countryside. We learnt that the town is populated with lots of people who live in the many houses, work in the offices and go to the shops. In the countryside there are less people, lots of fields and farms.
In Science we have learnt about our bodies. We labelled a picture of ourselves.
