Westfield Community School A beacon of hope (Ofsted)

6th July

Another wonderful, busy week in year 3.

We have been creating sculptures out of sand based on the work by Paul Hoggard. Not all of us have completed this activity so we will be continuing it next week.

Suzanne represented Westfield in Town Sports and came a fabulous fourth in her running final. She did herself, her family and her school proud. Well done Suzanne.

On Thursday and Friday mornings, the children went to do some work with their Year 4 teacher. The children had a lovely time and their teachers can't wait to work with them next year.

In English we did some more work on speech and the use of inverted commas. The children are moving to their next class with a good, solid understanding of this.

Don't forget Monday afternoon is Year 3's music assembly. It promises to be another great one.

See you on Monday morning

Love from all the staff in Year 3  smiley

Here we are having a lovely learning time creating 3D shapes using marshmallows and art straws.
