7th December

WOW!!! What a fantastic week Year 3 have had!

The most exciting part of the week was on Wednesday when we had Stone Age visitor! He was fantastic, he told the children all about how people lived in the stone age, how they would hunt, how they lived and how they used the animal skins. The children played a hunting game in the morning where they used a foam javelin to hit wooden cut outs of hares, deer and mammoths. The children had a great time! The children also took part in a quiz and cave drawings.

Then on Thursday we had the Westfield Bake Off! Thank you so much for all the entries! They all looked fantastic! The children loved seeing everybody's cakes!

In English we have started the story The Snowman to get us in the mood for Christmas! The children have pretended to be the boy and written a diary entry describing what the first day was like!

In Maths we have been multiplying and dividing by 8!

We hope you have a great weekend! Don't forget our music assembly on Monday afternoon!
